Then a family of five sat down \u2014 two adults, three kids. That\u2019s when the passive-aggressive digs began \u2014 little comments about me being \u201calone\u201d and \u201csetting a bad example.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When I left to get food, my wine mysteriously disappeared. The waiter approached, apologizing \u2014 apparently the family had told him I was underage and had \u201csnuck away from my parents.\u201d He quickly poured me a fresh glass, embarrassed.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s when I decided\u2026 if they were going to make my drink an issue, I might as well make it a <em>spectacle<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>I asked the waiter to bring the <em>entire bottle<\/em> of wine \u2014 and a couple of vodka shots for good measure.
